🌙Who We Are

Moon Races is a 3D low-gravity drift-racing game operated by Moon Races at moonraces.com, where the free Quick Race and the staked-racing arena live under one roof. This policy explains what information each part of the service handles. For data questions, contact contact@moonraces.com.

🔑Staked Racing — Wallet Address

To stake $MOONXR, you connect a self-custodial Solana wallet. We process your public wallet address because it is fundamental to the service: it identifies you in a match, is recorded on the public Solana blockchain when you stake and when the pot settles, and is how the escrow pays the winner or issues a refund.

• We never receive, store, or have access to your private keys or seed phrase. We cannot move funds out of your wallet on our own.
• A wallet address is a pseudonymous public identifier. On-chain stakes, settlements, and refunds are public and permanent on Solana and are outside our control.
• Wallet connection and signing are handled through our wallet/auth provider (for example, an embedded-wallet or sign-in provider). Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policy.

🏎️Staked Racing — Username, Avatar & Match Data

When you set up for staked play, and as you race, we process:

• Username — the public display name you choose, shown to other players and linked to your wallet for that profile.
• Avatar — a preset you pick or an image you upload. Uploaded images are re-encoded and stored on our own object storage; we may moderate them. Don't upload anything you wouldn't want shown publicly.
• Match & gameplay records — stake amounts, the players in a match, finishing order, results, timestamps, and the associated on-chain transactions (including the 3% of the pot burned on settle — the winner is paid the remaining 97% — and the stake-tiered SOL entry fee each player pays in SOL at stake time). We keep these to run matches, settle pots, support disputes and refunds, and detect collusion or abuse.
• Eligibility/verification data — where required for the 18+ staked mode, we may process age-attestation, region, or identity-verification (KYC) information, or use it via a verification provider, to confirm you are allowed to stake.

📊Analytics, Cookies & Local Storage

We aim to use the minimum necessary, and we are transparent about it:

• Free Quick Race: only the local graphics-mode preference described above — no analytics cookies, no tracking.
• Staked arena: we use essential cookies / local storage to keep you signed in, hold your session and wallet-connection state, and provide security (such as anti-abuse and rate-limiting). These are required for the arena to function.
• Limited analytics: we may collect privacy-respecting, aggregated usage and performance analytics (such as page loads, errors, and match-flow metrics) to operate and improve the service. We do not use these to build advertising profiles, and we do not run third-party ad trackers.
• We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we don't share it for cross-site advertising.

🛡️Hosting, Security & Server Logs

Our sites are delivered through Cloudflare and our own servers. As part of delivering any website and keeping it secure, standard technical request data — such as your IP address, browser type, and request time — is processed for security, anti-abuse, and reliable delivery. For Staked Racing we may additionally use such signals (including network and funding patterns) to detect collusion and fraud, as described in our Terms. This is routine and is not used to build advertising profiles.

🤝Who We Share Data With

We share data only as needed to run the service: our wallet/auth and any KYC verification providers, hosting/CDN and object-storage providers, and the public Solana blockchain (for on-chain stakes, settlements, and refunds, which are inherently public). We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect against fraud, abuse, or harm. We never sell your personal data.

⚖️Your Choices & Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can change or remove your username/avatar in the arena, disconnect your wallet at any time, and clear local site data in your browser. To make a request, contact contact@moonraces.com. Please note that on-chain blockchain transactions are public and permanent and cannot be deleted by us, and we may retain limited records where needed to settle disputes, prevent fraud, or comply with law.

If we change how the service handles data, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above. By continuing to use Moon Races after a change, you accept the updated policy.
